Minnesota, Blackduck June 22 - 29

Tomahawk RV Resort, located west of the town of Blackduck.  The campground is on Blackduck Lake.

Blackduck, Minnesota

The Black Duck mascot.

Kay and I drove back down to Bemidji from Blackduck to do some shopping.

Had to have our picture taken with Paul and Babe.

Max and Zoe checking out the boat dock.

Walking bridge at Lake Bemidji state park

Monarch Butterfly.

Wild Iris

Lille Pads and flower.

Kay got her bug picture in this wild rose.

I don't know what this caterpillar is going to grow up into, but it sure has some nice colors.

Marty and the gang on our way back from a nice walk in the woods.

Getting ready to go fishing in Blackduck Lake.

Kay also took a kayak trip on Black Duck Lake.

We were not on the lake very long, when Kay took this picture of the storm front coming in,

She came flying around me, telling me to get my body back to the dock.  I told her, "In a few minutes"

I just barely made it back to the dock, when it started to rain very hard.  That goes to show you, one should always listen to your wife.

Black Duck golf course, or a new lake for Minnesota/  There is so much standing water in this part of the country, it is hard to believe.  Too bad we can't send some of it to California.

This flower is a Lady Slipper, which is the state flower for Minnesota.

Fishing pier by the boat launch on Gilstad Lake.

Trying my luck off the fishing pier.

It not big, but is is a fish.

Standing on the end of the fishing pier and looking back.

Got this picture of the deer as we were leaving Gilstad Lake.

Fishing on Gilstad Lake

Some of the bluegill fish I got.

Had to take a picture of Kay's Mother Day flower pot that the Dow family gave her.  They sure are blooming nice.
