Nebraska, Scottsbluff May 30 - June 2

Riverside Zoo Campground in Scottsbluff, NE.  Kay's Dad lives in Lyman, NE which is about 25 miles from The zoo Campground.  We stop here whenever we are in the area to see him and his buddy Clifford.  Dad and Clifford came down each day to watch the Rockies lose the baseball game and eat supper with us.

A view of the land just outside of Scottsbluff.  It is so green this year.

Kay's Dad, Howard Edwards.

This is his buddy Clifford.  They make a very good team.

Having a beer with Dad.

The wild life in the campground.

We had our own little flower garden by the camper.

The Zoo campground is not a bad place to stay while we visit Kay's Dad.

Maxwell and Zoe in their dog run.

Kay took this picture of the Scotsbluff National Monument from the campground while she was walking the dogs.

Orin and Francine came out to visit us one afternoon.  They have a home near Mitchel, NE.  That is about 15 miles west of  Scottsbluff.  We also get to see them when we are down in  Yuma, AZ in the wintertime.

I started a fire to have smores, but the rain did not let us get to far with it.  Was a good idea anyway.
We will have to wait now until we get to Yankton to do it with my brother Jim's kids.

Some of the storm clouds that  passed by us.  This campground is where we had the hail damage on the truck and camper  a few years ago.  I do not want to go through that again.

We drove by Chimney Rock Monument on our way out of Scottsbluff.

This is a tornado siren,  they are very common in this part of the country.
