Colorado, Saint Vrain Sept 8 - 14 , 2015

Saint Vrain State Park, near Longmont, Colorado.  We stayed here for 6 days before we moved to Westminster, CO  We have always liked spending time in this park.

Saint Vrain State Park, near Longmont, Colorado.

Our camp site.

To our surprise, Frank & Eleanor Carrillo  were also camping in the park.  We have known them for many years from the Hi Country Camping Group.

The little pond outside our front door.

There were a lot of geese on the lake.

Kay in her kayak again.

Back to one of the things Marty loves to do most.  Fishing from his kayak.

This big old dead tree is on an island in the middle of the lake.  If you look hard you can see an osprey sitting on a branch on the left side.

This is a view of the tree from my kayak.  Now the osprey are a little bit easier to see.

This shot was with Kay's good camera.

Now for the final 30x zoom shot with Kay's camera.

The following shots are by Kay, who loves to take pictures of all kinds of plant life.

Some kind of blue dragon fly.

Trevor and Jessica Derr kayaking on the lake.  With their dog Sweet pea along the shore.

Kayaking past our campsite.

Nebraska, Scottsbluff Sept 4 - 8 2015

Riverside Campground, Scottsbluff, NE, we stay at this campground each time we are in Scottsbluff.  It is nice and quiet (except for the lions roaring) and the view of the monument is great.

A snapshot of our campsite.

Kay's Dad, Howard enjoying the sunshine.  We fixed him supper, the last of our Gulf of Mexico fish.  He loved it.

Kay's brothers were in town too.  Mike on the left and Dan on the right.  Was sure good to get time with both of them.

Mike, the thinker.

Dan is also a deep thinker.

We had a Edwards' family get together with several of Kay's cousins and Aunts and Uncle.   Rod Edwards and his wife Maryann with their Great Grandson Bentley were the first to arrive.   Our campsite was perfect for a group, large shade tree and plenty of room.  The host moved extra picnic tables for our use.

Kay's Aunt Carol and Dad catching up on old times.  They both had a great day I think.

Kay's cousin Karen brought lots of old family photos.  We all sure appreciated that and had a great time reminiscing,  That's Karen between Kay and Mike.

Aunt Laura on the left, Dan, Rod and Sheli.  Uncle Al was sick that day so he didn't make it.  We sure missed him.

This is Kay's cousin Lori's daughter Emily on the left with her family husband Travis and their little girl Ady.

Labor Day Francine and Orin invited us out to their place south of Mitchell for a BBQ.  Here is Francine setting up all the great food.  Weather was perfect for all our activities through the whole weekend.

Here is the group  hanging out at Orin and Francine's.   Francine has been Kay's best friend since the early '70s.  Kay's Dad went along too but he's hidden in the picture.

Orin, thanks for a fun afternoon.
