Arizona, Yuma Lakes RV Resort Feb 2 - 16 2015

From Pilot Knob we moved to Yuma Lakes RV Resort.  We will be here for two weeks.  Our friends Dick & Bonnie Kotrba, Mark & Mary Nichols and Marty & Juanita Bretz are also coming to this resort with us.  Yuma Lakes Resort is located about 10 miles outside of Yuma, AZ.

The moon coming up over Mittry Lake.  Mittry Lake is just 8 miles from the campground.

Bonnie Kotrba and Kay Edwards - Moeller, great friends.

Kay took this picture of the moon reflection off the water at Mittry Lake.

Just another happy kayaker

This is our launch point for Mittry Lake.  Here Bonnie is getting her paddles ready and John pushing his kayak into the lake.  Terry is waiting for John to get going.

This nice big shelter is right next to the boat ramp where we launched our kayaks. It was a great place to take a break from kayaking and have lunch.

Lunch time with great kayaking friends.

We love Bonnie

This is our second kayak trip to Mittry Lake

As you can see my truck is full of kayaks.  This is how we get all the kayaks unloaded.  Kay really likes having all the guys around to unload and load the kayaks.
It is launch time

Kay, Terry C, and John E are already in the water.  Me and Mark are getting Orin into my kayak.  This is the first time Orin has ever been in a kayak.   Marty B. is looking to find his kayak.

This is the first time for Francine to get into a kayak.  Here I am trying to get the life jacket to fit her.  Orin is looking on wondering if she will like it.

I am adjusting the foot pegs in the kayak for Francine.

Marty and Kay Moeller.  We love kayaking with our friends.

Kay's bow view of the lake.  The water was very smooth which means no wind, which means good kayaking weather.

Terry Curtis He is from Canada

Carol Curtis They both have sea kayaks.

I get a bow shot of Kay coming through the reeds, followed by John E

Bill & Lynnette Entzinger who are from Canada.  John E. is behind them.

I am trying to teach Francine how to kayak.  She is doing very well and she said she loves it.  Hope to get her out there many more times.

Kay is trying out Marty Bretz's sit on top kayak.  It was very comfortable and felt very stable.

Orin really took to the kayak.  I think they are going to buy some when they get back to Nebraska.

Francine Rogers in Kay's kayak.  She did so good for only her first time in a kayak.

Lynnette and Bill Entzmiger they are from Warner, Alberta, Canada

I can't remember what I was trying to say. Either it was come in this way, or the restroom is that way up the hill.

Juanita Bretz  Marty's B. wife.

Maxwell and Mark.  He really likes our dogs.
I took Kay to the airport in Phoenix to fly back to Denver to help with her Dad. When the dogs and I picked her up, Zoe had to go pee real bad, so we found this place to let her out of the car.

I have no idea what kind of flower this is.

This ends our stay at Yuma lakes.  We will be back here again soon.

  1. Yeah I know about this resort. It has stunning views. I am glad that you had fun time with your friends at this wonderful place. The local rental halls in Philadelphia are also very pretty and I would love to book one of those venues for my birthday party.
