Texas, Glen Rose Oct 9 - 23

Tres Rios RV Resort, Glen Rose TX.  This is one of our favorite campgrounds on this southern run.  The people here were so very nice.  Campground activities director,Bethany, keep things hopping every day.  We did learn a new card game called "Vegas" it is played both dice and cards for nickles and pennies.   Of course Kay had to win most of them.  Marty did a lot of fishing on the river, once we got the kayaks on the water.  It was a very steep bank to slide the kayaks down.  I had to have a couple of guys from the park help me especially to bring them back up.  We met up with Mark and Mary Nichols once again.  We have not seen them since Blue Mesa Resort in Colorado about two years ago.  They will be traveling with us and Mary's brother John and Terrie Edwards later on this winter.  Kay and I will visit this park again when we are in the area.  A++ rating from us.

Glen Rose, Texas
I sure do like our new 2012 Chevy 3500 Silverado truck.
Taking Max for a ride on the bike.
Max love's riding in the basket, and looking around.
Bethany, the activities director at Tres Rios.
Tasha, one of the cooks.  They put out lots of good food here and really reasonable.
Bliss, she works in the office.
Bethany and the manager of the park.

Kay waiting for the hobo stew to get done so we can eat.  It was so goooood.  Kay even had two bowls full.  I won't say how many I ate.
The fire pit was left from an early YMCA camp.  It really distributed the heat nicely.

Marty and Ryan (Ryan belongs to Bethany) toasting marshmallows.

Bethany can do 2 at once.

Kay walked the dogs most every day down along the river.  They loved it.

This was some property that bordered the RV park.

Marty's little catfish.

Here's the 3 pound bass that got him 2nd place in the fishing contest.

Ryan and Marty brought their catches up to be weighed and measured for the weekend fishing tournament.

Kay finally made it out on the Brazos River.

These next pictures taken mostly by Kay while kayaking the Brazos.

Marty was too busy fishing to take many pictures.

Marty cleaning the roof of the RV.

Mark Nichols had a pressure washer so Marty and he spent the day washing the RV and truck.  Wow they look so nice.

As a thank you we took Mark and Mary out for BBQ.

Marty loved the ribs and Kay really enjoyed the brisket.
