New Mexico, Santa Fe Sept. 17 - 18

Roadrunner RV Park just north of Santa Fe was going to just be an over night stop.  After finding one of the wheel bearings on the camper going out, it turned into an extra day.  We found a mobile repair company, Two Bears, LLC, to help me in replacing the bearing.  We had a very hard time in getting the hub off the camper, until the owner of Two Bears, Danny, got a new bearing puller.  With the new puller, it came off quite easy.  It is a good thing he had a 20 ton press to get the old bearing out of the hub.  The press also made it very easy to put the new bearing back into the hub.  We had the new bearing air freighted from Denver to Santa Fe, at a large price.  It took us 4 hours in total to do the job.  After it was finished, Kay and I took Danny and his wife out to dinner.  So if you are ever in the Santa Fe and break down call Danny at Two Bears.  Kay and I did manage to get to one of the casino while we were here.

Danny and Marty after they finished putting the new wheel bearing on the camper.  Danny is a very good mechanic, and it was a pleasure working with him.

Danny's business card.  If you ever need help in the Santa Fe area be sure and call him..
Looking Northwest from  the campground.  Not much to see.
Looking West from the campground.  And nothing much to see either.

A view of the Roadrunner Campground.  Not much here, but it was very clean and it worked for us to do the repair on the camper.
Poeh Center Museum across the road East from the campground.
Danny is also a volunteer fireman.  He invited me to come watch while he was conducting training.
