Missouri, Liberty April 16-19

We made a stop in Liberty, MO to meet up with our friends John & Terry Edwards.  We met them at Blue Mesa RV resort near Gunnison, Colorado last summer.  The four of us really hit it off immedialy and we kayaked together almost every day.  Liberty is just north east of Kansas City, MO.   The campground was about 15 miles from John and Terry's.   They played tour guide and showed us around Liberty and Kansas City.  Seems like we have always just passed through and never actually saw Kansas City.  Sure glad they did KC is a very beautiful, unique city.

On top of a hill overlooking Kansas City is the WWI Memorial.
The stone building to the left is the WWI museum
Standing at the base looking up the monument gives one a strange feeling.  It sure made the clouds look good.
This is a very good looking couple.
The following few pictures are of downtown Kansas City, taken from the hill where the WWI memorial is located.

Terry trying to be funny, so I had to add my stuff.
Couldn't leave KC without some good BBQ for dinner.
The saying is, if you hold the pig's nose and drop a coin into the well, your wish will come true.  OK, so I tried it and nothing happened.  I could not get my coin back either. Drats!!
