Michigan, Mears Sept. 21 - 27

Mears is a little town on the west side of Michigan along the shore of Lake Michigan.  The Timber Lake Campground was very empty, so it was also very quiet.  It rained most every day we were here.  Lots of down time.  It gave me a chance to clean and wax the front cap of the camper.  I even got to put the new Mobile Suites letters on.  The old ones were getting to look a bit ratty.

We took a tour of the Silver Lake Dunes with a company call Mac Woods.  This is our tour driver Weesey.

There are a lot of dead stumps all over the dunes.

It was a bit cold this day.

Kay and Me are looking west over lake Michigan for the sun.  No luck.

There was a magic chair on the beach, where one could go back to one's childhood. 

We saw this going down the lake.  I know I would not want to be on it.  There are some times that six foot waves will blow on this lake.

After our trip on the dunes, we drove up the road to visit
the Little Sable Lighthouse.  This is the front of the light house.

We drove up to Pentwater to a craft fair.  The guy I am talking to, Don, made some beautiful furniture.  Kay and I got a new end table to go between our chairs.
 

One can sure tell it is fall in this country.
