Colorado, Saint Vrain State Park Aug 6 - 20

Saint Vrain State Park.  We drove 378 miles from Flaming Gorge, UT in one day.  That's a long drive for us as we usually average around 200 miles between campgrounds.  Guess we just wanted to get home.

Marty had been experiencing chest pains for awhile and even though we didn't think it was serious decided to get it checked out.  Good thing we did because he ended up with a stint.  He's doing great now and has more energy than ever.

This beautiful bird was waiting to great us when we arrived at Saint Vrain State Park.

Marty doing a little maintenance.

Bob Mitchell admiring the good work he had accomplished on their new covered patio.  Marty helped him design the structure.

Met up with the Dow's at Tia Maria's.  Gabby has a beautiful smile don't you think?

Riley and her Mommy Deana.  Just love this picture of them both.

Jessica and her boyfriend, Uriah also joined us at Tia Marias.

Dinner at Blackeyed Pea with Dick and Bonnie and their daughter Debbie and her husband Terry.

From left to right, Irmie Mitchell, Bob Pugh, Karen Pugh, Bob Mitchell and Kay.  We enjoyed a nice dinner and some games with the Pugh's and Michell's one evening at St. Vrain.

Max and Zoe just chilling out.

Marty was playing with his new camera and got these sunset pictures.  Just love the reflection in the ponds.

We attended one last Rockies Game and this time Marilyn, Marty's sister joined us.  This picture and the next are Denver views from the 3rd deck concourse.

Kay and Marilyn ready for some baseball.

With the telephoto lens Marty got some amazing shots from our 3rd level seats.  If you look close, you can see the baseball in the air in front of the batter.  You can even see the shadow of the baseball on the ground.

Dinger, the Rockies mascot

This summer we've seen some amazing clouds.
We're thinking it's because of extra humidity we've been experiencing this year.

Click on this picture to see it a larger size.  The poor butterfly had a pretty battered wing.

This dragon fly picture is one of Kay's favorites.

We planned on joining some our our camping group in Estes Park for dinner and to attend a musical show.  Kay came down with a cold so she didn't make it but Marilyn and Marty really enjoyed the show.  Click on this picture to more clearly see all the assortment of instruments that were played.

Dinner before the show,  left to right, Irmie Mitchell and her daughter Rene, Bob Mitchell, Marty and Marilyn.  They all had a great time.

Part of the musical show was a tribute to Willie Nelson.

Noreen won a championship ribbon at the fair for this flower arrangement.

Bob Arnebrecht, Marty's brother-in-law,  just relaxing before the poker game begins.

April and Russ, Marty's niece and her hubby.

Noreen, Marty's sister standing next to the quilt rack that brother Jim made for her.

Sister's Noreen and Marylin, Noreen has become an amazing quilter.

Black and white quilt Noreen made and gave to Marty as a gift.

We both really love the quilt.  Kim, Marty's niece helped with some of the squares too.
