Colorado, Jefferson County Fairgrounds. May 15 - June 17

The campground at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds is located in Golden, CO.  It is about three miles from the Dow's home, which made it very easy to see them and about 10 miles from the Derr home.  The RV sites were ok.  We had an end spot so we parked as far that way as possible which made it easy to put out the slides and have more room on the door side.  We had a cement pad and picnic table in the rear for more privacy.  There was water and electric but no sewer.  Luckily the guy in the camper next to us had one of the little tote things that you empty your tanks into and than drag it down to the dump station.  We had to do that at least once a week.  Other than that, we liked the park OK especially since it was very convenient to getting all our Dr. stuff done and visiting with the Grand kids.

It was good to be back in the Denver area again.  With all the stuff we had to get done, the time here went very fast.

The gumbo is almost finished.  It was so very good there wasn't much left.

There was a VW show at the Fairgrounds one day.  Kay and I walked up to see all the cars.
This VW bus was a very clean unit.
I liked the VW Thing.  We had matching colors.
Another good day at Coors Field.  We were in section 334 which gave us a good view of the entire field.
