Hope was an interesting little town. This is the location where they filmed Rambo: First Blood with Sylvester Stallone. The campground was a very small one, but very clean with very friendly folks that run it.

Looking at the mountain from our camp site at Wild Rose RV Park.
Kay and I drove up to one of the parks and found this waterfall going into Silverhope Creek.
Silverhope Creek
The foliage was very green and thick.
We found Silver lake high up in the mountains above Hope.
We were going to kayak here, but never got back to do it.
The red boat.
Parked at he boat ramp looking at the lake.
Kay pitting the cherries we purchased in Kelowna. What a messy chore.
Just relaxing with Zoe trying to frogger out where we want to go and do today.
One of the cable cars that run to the bottom of Fraser Canyon.
Looking at the Fraser River from the cable car.
The water flow through Hell's Gate is twice the volume of Niagara Falls.
This walking bridge is at the bottom of the canyon.
Another look at the cable car. There are only two of them.
View of the walking bridge from the other end.
Looking down through the grating of the walking bridge. Neither one of the dogs thought it was a good idea to walk on this bridge. It made me a little nervous too.
What can I say about this pix.
Since the water runs so fast at this point of the river, they built shoots for the fish to get up stream. When the salmon run there are thousands of them each day that try to get up river, and this system helps them.
Him No Speekem to Anybody.
When we walked across the foot bridge there was old train tunnel.
Kay and the dogs were going to hike down to a train bridge.
They made it as far as the train tracks. I stayed with the truck, toooo steep for my bum knee.
We camped next to the wonderful family from Calgary.
Our next adventure was to hike through the Othello Tunnels. The tunnels were part of a railroad system through the Coquihalla Canyon.
The tunnels were built between 1911and 1916 to complete the Kettle Valley Railway.
It got very dark is some of the tunnels. Max especially was of frightened by the dark in this unusual space so we had to carry the dogs through the darkest parts of the tunnels.
The river was running very fast.
There were over 50 chainsaw carvings on display around the community. Here is a sample of some of them.
I was not part of the carvings.
