View of the Yellowstone River from our campsite.
A view of the river looking south after we launched. This is one of the few rivers in the USA that flow north. The flow rate was about 6 mph. which made for an easy run.
Some of the mountains seen from the river.
Dick and Bonnie really loved kayaking the Yellowstone River.
Dick was always about a 1/4 mile behind the rest of us.

We stopped on a rock bar in the middle of the river about half way down to the campground where we were going to get out of the river.
This was about all the rapids we found on the river. Of course I had to try them out.
This guy I found on an island in the middle of the river.
More of the river and the mountains.
Looking north of the take out spot at the campground.
This is how Bonnie gets out of her kayak.
The line up.
The kayaks loaded on the truck after a run down the river.
This group of elk were just resting on the grass at the north entry to Yellowstone National Park.
Some of the many buffalo in the park.
One of the boiling water pools we visited.
On the boardwalk they came.
One has to stop and visit Old Faithful while in the Park.
One afternoon we went to Chico Hot Springs for a refreshing dip in the hot mineral water. Chico was located near our campground.
On the second of July was the start of the rodeo in Livingston. There was a nice fireworks display after the rodeo. Was a very good day.
The bucking broncos were very good. Not too many cowboys made the 8 seconds.
