Colorado Chatfield S.P. June 7 - 17

Chatfield State Park will be our home for the next 10 days.  Getting ready for Jessica and 4 of her friends to stay for four nights.  This will be our last stop in Colorado for the summer.  We always enjoy having Jessica and her friends come and stay with us while we are home.

Our campsite in loop D
Marilyn and Zoe.  She came out to visit us for a few days before the girls got here.
Kay and Max enjoying the quit time before the girls.
There was a large model airplane gathering at the flying field.  It was located across the road from our campsite.  Lots of planes flying over the weekend.
This one was very big.
Some of the planes have real jet engines in them.  They sounded just like the real ones.
Marty and his truck.
One afternoon we went to visit our friends Dick and Bonnie.  They fixed us a very good dinner.  We talked about our upcoming trip to Canada.
Kay and Bonnie working out some of the details for the trip.
This is Dick and Bonnie's dog Rascal.  He is a brother to our dog Maxwell but about two years younger.
The girls have arrived.  Tent set up time.
They did a very good job in setting up the tent.
This is the gang.  From the left,  Kiley, Annelise, Mia, Madison and Jessica.
This is a white man's fire.
We put up a big screen tent over the picnic table.  We also put a large electrical light in the center of the table so the girls could play cards all night.
Steven and his friend Austin came out to have dinner with us.
Trevor and Zoe.
Steven and Austin were trying to tie up Kile.
Kile was like a whirlwind.  They never did get the tie job done.
Jessica roasting her very large marshmallows.
She did like the big ones. It was about 4 time the size of a normal one.
