St. Vrain State Park. This is one of our usual stops to do the grand kids stuff. This year we only had Kile and two of his friends stay for three nights. Now that Jessica and Steven are working, it's too hard to get schedules set up. Maybe next year we'll plan better and maybe even Gabby and Riley will be big enough to come and go camping with Grandma and Grandpa..

Here is our local family of Canadian Geese. It was fun to watch the little ones grow during our stay.
Dick and Bonnie Kotrba were already at St Vrain when we arrived and luckily we had a few days together before they headed to North Dakota and Minnesota.
The Kotrba's and the Moeller's entertained the Hansen's and Dick and Bonnie's daughter, Debbie and her husband, Terry one evening.
Kile came out for a 3 night camp out with two of his buddies, Ben and Morgan. What good kids they all were. With 14 year olds you never know but they were awesome.
Kile setting up the tent. it was a little small but the boys made it work.

The boys tried their hand at fishing but I don't think they ever caught anything. We did see a few fish caught but it takes a lot of patience. |
|
Morgan didn't have any better luck. |
|
Ben at least always had a smile on his face even if he didn't catch a fish. |

Friday night is race night at the Colorado National Speedway. |
|
These two cars of part of the Legends class, we also saw modified and trucks. Our favorite race was the figure 8. Lot of excitement with the cars nearly crashing with every pass. |
|
/I think the boys had a real good time. |

Goodbye lunch with the Dow's at Wishbone Chicken. I think we ate there 3 times during this visit. This is 7 year old Gabby snuggling with Grandpa. |

Grandpa Marty, Gabby, Deana and Riley goofing around after supper.
Paul and his little "bug" 5 year old Riley sharing hugs. |

We got to see the Rockies a few times while in the area. The last game there was Dinger's van parked right next to us in the parking lot. |

View from our seats. |
Rockies played the Mets so we got to see EY Jr. bat for the Mets,
