Getting the kayaks ready for the run down the St. Croix River
Kay likes to take pictures of the strange and wild side of this country.
St. Croix River.
Checking the map of the river. Looking at this picture, I sure see my Dad in me.
There were a few little rapids on the river.
Stopping for a lunch break on an island
We found a campsite on the river only accessible by kayak to have lunch.
Kay always fixes us a good lunch. It was time to stop.
Kay taking a break also
A look at the river where the Kettle River Slough runs into the St. Croix
What a beautiful day to be on the river.
Kay got tired of paddling, so she tied a rope to my kayak, and I had to pull her for a while.
Now this is how to relax in a kayak
This is our takeout point. It was a 4 1/2 hour run and about 16 miles of river.
