Minnesota, Hinkley August 19 - 26

From the Casino campground in Hinkley, we moved East about 14 miles to Pathfinder Village RV Resort.  That is one of our shortest moves yet.  Jim and Bev came up on Saturday morning and went back home on Sunday Morning.

Minnesota, Hinkley August 14 - 19

From Jim and Bev's we moved north to Hinkley, Minnesota.  We are in a really beautiful Casino campground.  We kayaked the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.

 We found a campsite on the river only accessible by kayak to have lunch.

Kay always fixes us a good lunch.  It was time to stop.

 Kay got tired of paddling, so she tied a rope to my kayak, and I had to pull her for a while.

This is our takeout point.  It was a 4 1/2 hour run and about 16 miles of river.

Minnesots, Lakeville August 12-13 Lakeville

A two day stop with my brother Jim and his wife Bev.  Parked the camper in the street in front of his home in Lakeville.

Was good to see them again.  It was a fun packed two days playing games and eating lots of good food.

Nebraska, Valintine August 9th

We stopped at Valintine, NE to kayak the Neobrara River.  The weather was raining most of the time, so no kayaking.  We did tour the area.

Fort Falls.  We had to walk down a bunch of steps to get to the falls.  Zoe was not too sure about the steel steps.  Had to carry her part way.

To the right, is the Niobrara River.  We were going to kayak it, but it was raining most of the day.  Glad we didn't, we would have gotten very wet.

 There was a nice heard of buffalo we drove through.  Max and Zoe had a good time barking at them.
