Arizona, Bullhead City Mar 3 - 10

Ridgeview RV Park, Bullhead City, AZ   This campground is located on a ridge on the east side of the Colorado River looking out over the city of Laughlin, NV. The Colorado River here was so clear, at 30 feet deep, you could see the bottom as if it were only a foot deep.  What a wonderful place to kayak the river with our friends John and Terry.  The only bad thing is the wind.  It blows hard almost every day.  We only got on the river one time because of the wind.  It was a good trip that day.  We kayaked down to Lazy Harry's bar and enjoyed nachos and beer at the end of the kayak run.  I could even drink, because Mark was our designated driver.

Bullhead City, AZ

Another day of unloading kayaks.  Kay has really enjoyed John and Mark being around to do the heavy lifting.

The London Jet boat comes up the river from the town of Lake Havasu.  We had to be careful when it went by because of the big wake it made.

Kay took this picture looking straight down into the water.  I think the river was about 15 foot deep at this point.  The water was so clear and beautiful.

We are coming to the section of the river where many homes have been built.  As we go by them, we pick which ones we would want to have for our own.

The ceiling was covered with 1 dollar bills with names all over them.  So we had to add ours to it.  John - John - Terry, Marty - Kay, and Mark - Mary.

John and I had to give the waitress a big hug for her good service.

One evening we all went to the Colorado Belle to have pizza.  Looking over the edge of the bridge to the casino were all these fish and ducks.  For a quarter you could buy some food to feed them.  Crazy.

Arizona, Ehrenberg Feb 17 - Mar 3

Colorado River Oasis RV Resort.   This is one of our favorite places to camp.  It is located right on the Colorado River.  Kayaking here is outstanding.  We have been here for two weeks and I have kayaked the river 7 times.  Four of the trips we put in at Mayflower Park about 10 miles north on the California side of the river, and kayaked back to the campground.  Three more times from the campground going south on the Colorado River.

Ehrenberg, AZ

This is our first run down the Colorado River here at Ehrenberg.  We put in at a county park about 10 miles up stream from the campground.  Then we kayak back to the boat ramp at the campground.  This is about a three hour trip, with riding the current most of the way.  An easy way to kayak.

Ready to go fishing

The river was flowing about 3 mph.  This made for an easy ride down.

What can I say, but life is good and easy on the river.

We tied the kayaks together to eat lunch and continue to float down the river.  Lunch always tastes much better while we are on the river.

Kay always has to get at least one picture of flowers on each trip.

Another trip down the river was from the boat ramp at the campground to a RV park about 7.6 miles down the river.  We dropped the kayaks off at the boat ramp, and than drove the truck down to the RV park.  Mark followed us down and gave us a ride pack to the boat ramp.  He sure was a big help in getting the truck at the right spot for us to load back up.  Thank you very much Mark and Mary.

Kay fixed spaghetti one night for supper.  Everyone loved it.

We all took a drive to Quartzsite one day.  This book shop is owned by a very interesting man.  The only thing he wore was a little bag holding his privet parts.  I took a picture of him and the girls, but will not show it on the blog.  If you look close at the picture you can see him standing between Mary and Mark.

There is a vegetable market just south of Blythe, where this farmer raised all the stuff he sold.  Here he is getting some stuff to take into his store.
