Texas Bandera Oct 8 - 15 , 2015

A week of peace and quiet in the Holiday Village RV Resort on Lake Medina.  There is only one other camper in the whole park other than us.  We did do a lot of touring around the country side while we were here.

Bandera, Texas

Deer run wild all over this campground.

This goat was along side of the road one day as we were going into Bandera.  The day we arrived we saw a zebra on one of the ranches but never saw it again so we didn't get a picture.

This is a typical view of the roads in this part of Texas.

Now ain't them good looking flowers, all of them.

Some kind of sunflower, they are growing  all over the side of the roads

OK, now ask me which is the most beautiful flower.

I think this is some kind of holly.  Don't know for sure, but it looks like one.

Kay and I drove to Medina, TX where we found this flower garden full of butterflies.  The following are some of the pictures we took there.  So many different kinds of butterflies we could not get them all.

Here are some of the flowers in the garden.

Of course we had to get this Ladybug.

Some more of the flowers in the garden.

We saw this young buck as we were going back to the camper.

This older buck was a bit camera shy.
We stopped at a farmers' market.  Here I am tasting all the different kinds of jam.  They were very good.  Had to buy two of them.

They were having a hot rod show in Boerne, TX.  So we had to walk around to see what was here.  So many good looking cars.

I love the old pickups

One day Kay and I took the dogs to this little river for them to play in the water.  We also gave each of them a bath.

The dogs loved playing in the water.

I do not remember the name of this little river, so I will just call it little river.

Texas Amarillo Oct 7 - 8 , 2015

Back to Amarillo, Texas for the night, and a good steak at The Big Texan Steak Ranch.
Amarillo, Texas

Our campsite at Amarillo Ranch RV Park

This was just outside of the steak house.

It took me two days to eat this 30 oz T-Bone steak.  It was sooooo Good.
