Wyoming, Douglas May 26 - 30

Back to the Douglas KOA Kampground to spend a few days visiting Dan and Kathy Edwards.  Dan and I plan to spend a couple of days fishing for walleye on Glendo Reservoir.  On the way in, I dropped Kay off at the rest stop where she met Kathy.  They then went on to Scottsbluff to babysit, the twins, Kathy's grand kids.  They will be back in Douglas on Wed, which worked out very well, because Dan and I are going to fish on Tue and Wed.

Douglas, Wyoming  The home of Dan and Kathy Edwards.  Dan is Kay's brother.
Dan's truck and boat parked in his driveway.

Ready to launch the boat.  What a calm day to be on the water.

This is very easy to launch the boat.

Looking right off the dock.

Looking left of the dock.  The water is pretty high this year.

The lake was so calm, was nice not to have any of the Wyoming wind.

Dan with the first catch of the day.

I did get the biggest fish, 20 inches.  That was my first catch also.

Just off the trees, is where we got the most fish.  Dan knew where to go.  He says it is not fishing, but hunting for the fish.

Cruising across the lake was easy with no wind.

A view of the shore.  What a beautiful lake Glendo Reservoir is.  I can see why Dan loves living here.

Back to the boat launch after a good day of fishing.  I thank you very much Dan for taking me with you.

Our catch for the second day of fishing.  We got 10 real nice walleyes.

Dan does most of the cooking in this house.  Kathy gets the job of cleaning up after him.

Dan's granddaugther Halle is helping him cook.  Dan is teaching her how it is done.

A couple of Antelope along side the road on the way back to the KOA campground

This little bull snake was in the campground.  What a nice looking snake.

Kathy and Kay went to Scottsbluff to watch the twins while Erin and Justin took Halle to Denver.  They stayed two nights and than came back to Douglas.  This is Hannah one of the twins getting her hair fixed.

Noah, Hannah's twin brother, driving the golf cart giving Kay a tour of the golf course.

Kathy and Hannah enjoying the pool at the country club.

The twins enjoy the pool, I guess they spend a lot of time in it.

Colorado, Greeley May 23 - 26

Back to Greeley to visit my sisters, Marilyn and Noreen.  Which means several nights of poker with the family.  We went to Noreen's grandson's high school graduation party.  We parked the camper in Noreen & Bob's yard.  Bob has a power outlet in one of his buildings that we use.  Sure made it easy to go home after a good night of poker.

Colorado, Wheat Ridge, Prospect Park Apr. 9 - May 23, 2014

Home again for six weeks to spend time with the Dow and Derr families, also to visit the Dr. & DDS. stuff like that.  We are staying at Prospect RV Park this year.  We like this park because it is convenient to the kids and everything we need to do. The park is next to the green belt which is great for walking the dogs.

This is what you get when you are stupid enough to come home to Colorado in April.
It has been a long time since I left footprints in Colorado snow.  And I hope it will be another long time.

Steven and his new ride.

Springtime in the Rockies, with all the flowering trees.

Even the geese are mating.

A trip to Etcher's Garden Center to find some potted plants for Deana and Tina.

This is the flower I picked out for the girls.  Don't ask me what kind it is for I have no idea.  I thought it was weirdly wonderful.

I thought this display was nice.

Grandma and Jessica, two good looking women.

Art and Margie Hansen, good friends who are planning a trip to the west coast.  They had us over to dinner so we could give them tips on where to go and what to see on their vacation.  Sure hope they have a wonderful time.

Art's 31 Ford truck.  He sure did do a nice job on it.

Dick and Bonnie Kotrba.  They invited us to the Legion club to celebrate their daughter's 50th birthday.

Bob and Irmie Mitchell.  There is never enough time to go see them and play games as often as we'd like.  Irm always beats me anyway.

Poker night at my sister's home in Greeley.  This is a must whenever we get back to Colorado.  Here I am counting out the chips while Jack eats his supper.

Laury Edwards and her son James, we met up for breakfast at the Ralston Cafe on Easter Sunday.  For some reason I didn't end up with a picture of Kay's brother Mike but he was there.

Mother Day cards for Kay.  Even Riley had to make Grandma one.  The flowers in the back are from the Dow family.
Tina sent our grandson Steven to the store to pick out some flowers and a card for Grandma for Mother's Day.  This is one of the flowers he picked out.  The card in the center above is the one he got.  Love it.  He has very good taste.

Our friends John & Bunny took us to Bova's Italian restaurant for the first time.  The calzones were so good, we had to take Trevor and Tina here to eat.  This is the one Trevor got.  He made 4 meals out of it.

This is what drove my dogs nuts at the campground.  Each time we took the dogs walking Zoe had to  look under each camper in the park for them.  There were so many it was not funny.
